I really don't care if it was the Dems or the GOP.  The purpose of Senate confirmation is a check and balance of the president's judgement in case of gross negligence  Unless she's an axe murderer confirm her and get on with your life.  Let's face it people those dunces in Washington are Politicians at heart.  We need to replace them all.  We need term limits, line item veto.  Even Obama probably could use a line item veto for good.

Finallyl, something we agree on.  The only negative thing people say about nuclear is how to dispose of spent fuel rods.  That is easily solved.  We desperately need nuclear energy. Nuclear clean safe and inexpensive.  It could save our economy if we're not too late.

OK folks, I am going to say this one more time for the constitutionally challenged.  The United States Congress controls the purse strings of this nation.  The only thing that savior Obama inherited is the financial crisis created by Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank and Harry Reid the elite members of congress of which Obama belonged to for a mere 18 months.  Maybe if he had stayed there a little longer he would have learned this.  If you haven't heard people, the Democrats are in control of both the House and the Senate.  I am sick and tired of hearing his whinning and crying about what the "choosen one" has inherited.  Obama needs to man up and quit being a cry baby.  Oh, no "it's not about me" bullshit has got to stop.  I think I'm going to be ill.  Obama is just another POLITICIAN and not a very good one.

Most people can't wrap their minds around numbers as large as one trillion.  Let me try to put S1,000,000,000,000.00 into perspective.  For one trillion dollars you can pay the health insurance premiums of the 48 million currently uninsured and their extended families for 20 years.  And I mean really good insurance.  The government in its infinite wisdom bailed out Chrsyler, GM, Sallie Mae, Freddie Mac, Aig, etc.  Government created the financial crisis. Government has not corrected the problem.  Do not trust the government to fix anything.  The government wants to keep you afraid. Make no mistake, had the government done nothing the recession would have been shorter and less severe.  Now we have mountains of debt and no way to pay it. other than taxes levied either directly or indirectly.

You're going to need counseling when the government rations your medical treatment and access to advanced technology and procedures.  You get what you vote for.  Thanks, Ohio and PA.

Should the government be allowed to intrude in any aspect of our lives?  The government that once a long time ago protected our freedom now takes it away from us a little bit at a time.

Listen to yourselves:  government mandate, I (Obama) will ALLOW you keep your current health  insurance.  Boo Hoo I wish I could quit my job but I'll lose my health care.  You guys who want government run health care in any form have lost your minds.  Your rich bureacratic liberal politicians will always have the best health care.  Obama said it himself, congress already has excellent healthcare. Here is what everybody else is going to get.

Limited access to advanced medical technology such as MRI's  Your pet cat can get a privately available MRI from a Vet at a resonable price in Canada faster and cheaper than a human. Why, your cat can't sue.  Yeh, you'll be able to keep your crappy public option health care when you change jobs because there will not be any affordable private insurance.  Unless of course you'ra a rich politician.  Do you think for moment that your employer will be able to provide insurance that can compete with government provided crap.  Yes, the 48 million people who currently do not have health insurance will be able to walk in a crappy state run clinic and receive oh oh oh let's see... government approved medicine and procedures, death counseling, after a six month long wait.  At least now they can go into an emergency room and get first class treatment.

Re: thegatorbaiter  The Federal Government couldn't run a birthday party for a 5yr old.  I am sick and tired of your liberal whinning and sky is falling "tactics".  You are so blinded by some kind of self loathing or liberal guilt that you actually believe in your own make believe rhetoric.  It's almost a borderline crime when you post your fairy tale views online where someone might actually read them.  Read on if you what to know the truth.

The government forced my parents to use Medicare even though they were wealthy and could afford to buy private insurance. My mother and father both received elective gastric bypass surgery paid for by Medicare even though they are extremely wealthy.  Guess who really got screwed: the middle class taxpayer.  And you want the government to be in charge of health care.  Your naivete astounds me.  If the government is going to save any money at all they can only do so by rationing just like the private sector, duh?  

Yes, as you so crudely put, private insurance does make decisions based upon a cost to benefit analysis.  But I say to you: do you really want the government to start making those decisions for you?  If you say yes, then I pity you.  The Free Market that has failed to provide affordable health care in the last 50 years wasn't able to do so because we haven't had a truly free market in 50 years.  Our runaway litigious society has made it impossible to have affordable health care.  Whose fault is that: government. 

Do you really think our politicians are smarter than the politicians in Canada and Europe?  The politcians don't care about the 48 million people without health care.  As President Obama said last night, "Congress already has good health care".  If you are really honest with yourself, you will ask your congressman if he or she is willing to pass a bill that gives every American the same health care choices that they have.  They won't answer that question because they know it is impossible to pay for it no matter how many rich people you tax.  The politcians don't care about you or anyone else.

Contrary to whatever indoctrination you have received to be a part of the progressive liberal herd, corporations are not evil.  You are trying to personify an entity that is driven by profit. I have never received a pay check from a poor man.  I have never received health insurance from a company that didn't turn a profit.  It is profitable for a company to have a healthy, well fed and educated work force. 

You are not entitled to public education, it is profitable for Americans to be educated.       You are not entitled to free health care, it is profitable for Americans to be healthy.          You are not entitled to free food, it is profitable for Americans to be well fed.                       

US companies do not want to "out source" or move their corporate headquarters to other countries.  They rather stay here and make a profit.  Why to do they leave, Mr. liberal rocket scientist?  We have the highest corporated tax rate of any industrialized nation.  We have the most punitive and asinine federal regulations of any industrialized nation.

Government is the problem not the solution.
