Post to SparkWord DVRs

When DVRs first appeared it seemed like they would make it so you don't have to be home when your show comes on, which makes sense.

But now people record everything and some hardly go out at all.  Could the DVR may be destroying fitness?

Maybe we need to DVR more fitness shows. :)

Post to SparkWord Best GMAT Books

I keep hearing great things about Kaplan and spoke with a local office about a 6 Sigma course they are teaching.  If you are not going to do any tutoring, I suggest the Kaplan book.  However, if you are planning to take their class why not pick up another book and then discover the Kaplan book with the rest of the class (my plan).

After sitting down with a number of the books and flipping through them, I decided to start with "GMAT for Dummies"... also I find it a bit funny that a dummy would be learning about the GMAT.

Post to SparkWord Recession-friendly dining

I enjoy the soup, salad, and breadstick combo at Olive Garden. Moreover, Applebees food always seems to have an aftertaste to me...odd.

Post to SparkWord social media

The ability to merge your networks exists, although sometimes it is not very user friendly, however I think that organization is not really standardized on these social media platforms.  For example on social bookmarking sites like http://delicious.com/ people can organized links how they see fit, which is helpful to the individual but not to people who are digging through information.

Post to SparkWord Globalization versus Buying Local

For years people talked about globalization, with the change in economy in the US more and more talk is happening about supporting local business.  While no one wants to give up the diversity and advances gained from worldly exchange, is it necessary to buy from home?  Do you support globalization?  What about the 'Buy American' (or 'Buy whatever your local nationality is') movement?

Post to SparkWord Seattle Restaurant

I would want super hot Green Curry from Noodleland in Redmond., then sticky rice with mango and coconut.  Lastly, I would go to Trophy Cupcake or Cupcake Royale depending on the monthly special (check the Seattle Times) and well... it ends in cupcake madness.

2 great desserts, a fine last meal.

Post to SparkWord plastic bag tax

It is a tax that is inconvenient but can be overcome by more environmentally savvy consumers.  The tax serves as a reminder that we should bring our own bag.  I believe there is a similar policy on recycling in Canada which seems to be working.

The armadillo is an untapped resource for mascots... and it would be a hit in the Southwest!
