John Atcheson — CEO

John is an incurable entrepreneur. John was founder/CEO of both MusicNet, the first interactive music service (backed by Kleiner Perkins and The Mayfield Fund), and Ads.com, the first comprehensive ad information website (backed by the venture capital arm of News Corp.). John has also served as VP & GM of Media Publishing at RealNetworks (RNWK), and served on the early executive teams at both Digidesign (now a division of Avid) and Macromind (now part of Adobe). All told, John has over 20 years’ experience as an entrepreneur and CEO in the field of media and technology. He received his BA from Brown University and his MBA from Stanford Business School.

David Camp — Chief Marketing Officer

Right-handed & left-hearted, armchair philosopher, & wanna-be transcendentalist, David has great depth and breadth as a marketing exec with a long history of innovation, disruption, evangelism and entrepreneurial-ship across marketing disciplines and consumer technology businesses.

Prior to SparkWords, David was at Publicis Group, one of the world's largest marketing and media companies, where he was EVP of Digital Media, Business & Marketing Strategy. Previously, he was Global Director of Marketing for Windows Mobile, responsible for marketing for Microsoft's fastest growing P&L. Earlier in his career, David held VP marketing roles for several emerging technology companies in the consumer e-commerce and commercial software spaces. He studied at Brown University and The Wharton School.

Greg Martin — VP Engineering

Greg is a down-to-earth no-nonsense technologist with a long history of leading his engineering teams to success on a wide variety of enterprise-level projects. Interesting and exciting though the latest technological hotness may be, Greg is more interested in building cutting-edge business ideas on tried and tested platforms.

Before SparkWords, Greg served in a wide variety of engineering roles, from computer scientist at the United States Geological Survey to CTO of Internaut Trading, LTD, a pan-European online securities trading platform. Most recently, Greg was Lead Software Engineer at Muze, a leading provider of media information for digital distributors of music and video (now part of Rovi). Greg has participated in several start-ups, beginning with PrimeCo Personal Communications, an early entrant in PCS-based telecommunications, and more recently theDial, a pioneer in Internet radio. Greg received his BS (computer science) and MS (CS/artificial intelligence) at the University of Missouri-Rolla.
