Absolutely!

Hi all,

i'm just researching systems management to alert me when my servers go down, etc... but i'm thinking if i dont go for a managed system that the monitoring software going down would not alert me to problems.

i'm tihnking about using http://www.bastmonitoring.com are they good - does anyone use them?

I use a pretty simple (and cheap) option: http://pingability.com/ ;

So far, it's been working pretty good.

One of the first things you may want to do is determine what you want or need from the monitoring and evaluate who offers those things.

There are many out there to choose from.

we use bast monitoring too, it works very nicely! good support too
