Apple has lost its luster for me - lowest pricepoint it never was, but I have been priced right out of fan-hood :-(

Love to take it for a 'test' drive to see if its a 'toy' or the 'real deal'. But agreed - the price is always so expensive - for the marginal 'improvements' - I know that the mac in recent years - MUST have a higher markup profit for Steve Jobs and Co.

I just want the thing to work and always work right without pissing around with it.... you do with PC's and Macs -- for what is 'advertised' its supposed to do - without tweaking and farting around.

Just my opine.....

I just heard someone call it "the iPhone on steroids." If so, I'm tempted to click: BUY! It looks incredibly slick and fast and awesome, but my hunch is that the price tag would make me barf or faint or both. Anyone know what they're asking for this?
