I think they should scrap their Rhianna ads but on the whole, they are going in the right direction.

Big Difference. i love the rihanna ads. wether or not she is a size 2. which she is clearly a size 5-7 (average) she is a beautiful young woman with curves and beautiful skin. Slowly but surely covergirl has been using a wider range of size in their models. Which is more REAL because we all come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are still beautiful

It's getting better, but most of your models are still the super skinny type. Most women are not super skinny or tall. Even ads where you use Queen Latifa you use skinny girls.

A bit more open minded...but skin and bones just the same which NO MAN thinks is pretty or sexy but has been billed that way for so long they thought someone would bite...here's one man that doesn't BITE!

OK I watch America's Next Top Model and here are the models who've won and received a CoverGirl contract -- see if you can remember them.

1. Eva Pigford.

2.Naima Mora

3.Nicole Linkletter

4.Danielle Evans

5.CariDee English

6.Jaslene Gonzalez

There's more but I'm too lazy to post. Just look it up on Wikipedia. Whitney Thompson she was the FIRST plus-size winner of America's Next Top Model. Size 9!

Tyra Banks is fierce! Love her on America's Next Top Model!! HA! She's probably done more to raise the diversity bar at CoverGirl then ANY person.

IN MY OPINION I DEFINETLY THINK COVERGIRL HAS TRULY DEFINE BEAUTY WHEN MARKETING THEIR BRAND... YES TRUE INDEED, THEY UTILIZE MODELS , BUT I REALLY THINK THAT'S WHAT INCREASED THE SALES... WELL IF COVER GIRL IS ABOUT TRANFORMING OUR LOOKS INTO BECOMING BEAUTIFUL WELL I CERTAINLY THINK THEY'VE PROVEN THAT...

I think they are getting better. I wouldn't call Ellen DeGeneres drop dead gorgeous or model skinny.  She's certainly attractive and has great skin and natural beauty, and she's one of their spokesmodels.

re: Anonymous  "I DEFINETLY THINK COVERGIRL HAS TRULY DEFINE BEAUTY WHEN MARKETING THEIR BRAND"

That is so true. How these makeup companies -- and magazines -- choose their models DEFINES what we think is gorgeous, pretty, beautiful, etc. If all you see are white super models, etc. you would think that would define the idea of an All-American beauty, etc. CoverGirl has gotten better but they need to cast more models, without the help of Tyra Banks.
