The one and only Frank Gehry just signed on to Pitt's "Make it Right" charity to design homes for displaced people in the lower ninth ward of N.O. That's huge! When asked about politics ambitions, Pitt says he stands no chance at becoming Mayor of N.O., but do you think he has secret plans to try?

As far as his platforms go, for sure. He's passionate about equality and giving back to the community and invests a long-term commitment to his charities (like the Make It Right campaign), not because of the recognition it awards him, but because he believes it's his duty. Those characteristics would certainly be refreshing in the what-can-you-do-for-me, how-does-this-make-me-look political world of today. But while his heart is in the right place, I don't think he's as knowledgeable on the inner workings of government that's obviously necessary for a major elected official - and of New Orleans at that - and he doesn't hold as much political influence as he does public influence. During his interview with Ann Curry, he said himself that serving, or at least running, as mayor is "not what he does best."

Seriously -- didn't Schwarzennager prove to the world what happens when you put a strapping devastatingly handsome Hollywood celebrity in office? They run the state into the ground.

Being a philanthropist is great, but my God. Angelina as first lady? No way.

I think his lover, Angelina Jolie's got more heft these days in the political circles. She's been a UN Humanitarian advocate for how long? She and Brad Pitt are a star couple that's for sure but leave him out of the debate.

I agree that Angelina has 'political heft' -- but when it comes down the the wire, TRUST ME, people will care less about her huminatarian stuff than they do her 'relationship' with her brother.  I mean, Madonna also engages in extensive charity work, but when it comes time for her to adopt an African child, the courts are less than receptive. I think she'd be eaten alive by the political press.

Most actors have no business in politics.
